We were able to catch up with Wayne Jacobsen and have a lively conversation with him ranging on topics of living loved, the wonder of our relationship in Christ, grace and law based evangelism.

The IC as Theater
The IC as Theater
Looking forward into the new year we discuss the wonderful potential of living life fully engaged in reality with our confident relationship with Father, as opposed to the unreality of the theater that was and often times is the institutional church.

Complacency
As we looked back on 2009, and the challenges that people have faced, our conversation turned to the trap of complacency. Often we tend to get our eyes on our self or our situation, but what does Father have for us in this new year? How do we get our eyes back on him?

Expected Results
Many times we get frustrated because the results we expected for a situation don’t turn out. But how have we been trained in the IC to form our expectations? Often Jesus would state that he only did only what he saw the Father doing. Was that only for Jesus, or can we do the same thing?

Spiritual Abuse
Recently David was made aware of some specific situations where spiritual abuse had severe consequences in some people’s lives. This sparked our conversation as to what is spiritual abuse and how does it start?

The Crucified Life
This topic from the IC perspective would more or less send a groan of resignation from the believer. Some strained mystical reality that we read about but inevitably end up in a vicious cycle of self consciousness. What are the possibilities of living this way outside of the institutional church perspective?

Clarification Part 2
Clarification
ClarificationAnswering our critics. We thought to do this podcast to clarify some of our positions and thoughts regarding God’s nature, the Bible, the Old and New Covenants and other criticisms we’ve received. (Note: This podcast also has less than desirable audio quality, but we’ve figured out what went wrong and have since corrected the problem, so this is the last podcast where the audio quality is below our normal standard.)
Spiritual Disciplines
Often we first learn and develop spiritual disciplines in the IC when it comes to prayer, reading the Bible and a host of other spiritual disciplines. So how does that change once you’re now longer under the religious obligations of the IC? Do you just get lazy or is there another motivating factor? (Note: The audio quality on this podcast is below our normal standard due to a technical mishap.)
